Bolt would p0wn CJ. It would be embarrasing for all Titan fans if this race actualy happened.

Bolt isn't that fast out of the blocks....he just has unreal top speed. Also, in a 40 yard dash there isn't any blocks. CJ probably would take him.

People on here talking like CJ has no credibility on this matter when he's the fastest man in a league full of super athletes....

That's all I'm saying. I think he'd be content to being the Barry Sanders of his time.

It did last season. If he's going to dance in the backfield looking to bust a homerun like he did a lot last season, he will this year too.

If he shows to be better as a receiver out of the backfield, picking up the blitz, being decisive and hitting the hole, then I think minds will change (including my own) because that proves he's willing to become a more well-rounded RB.

Chris Johnson couldn't beat the guy who finished last in that race.

Even if he had trained exclusively for track and never played football.

As a 100% track athlete he might not even be a top 10 sprinter in the USA. the level of competition is outrageous!

The better debate would be how CJ would do against Jeff Demps in the 60 meters. Demps ran a 6.52 here.

Comparing CJ to bolt is retarded after Bolt beat the best we had in the whole country in 2 Olympics. Get real.

You have got to be kidding me right? Track and field has some of the best athletes in the world dude

    nickmsmith Most poverty RB core.

Did you watch him last year? looked no faster than any other running back. Just because he ran the fastest 40 does not mean fastest man.

40 yard dash is a stupid scale to judge a RB's worth.

Johnson claims his best 100m time was around 10.3.
Gatlin ran his final in 9.79 and might be the most explosive guy out of the blocks.
Gay finished with 9.8. Bolt beats those guys by 0.1 seconds cosnsistently.

So now way Johnson is going to have any chance IMO even if he did nothing but focus on the 100m.

There are other guys in the NFl that might beat Johnson in 100 meters including Jamaal Charles who ran a 10.18 as a freshman in college. Demps and Holiday are close to 10 flat.
Holiday by the way finished 11th in the Olympic trials.

On the other hand Johnson might be close to world class at shorter distances. Holiday remember has run a 10.0 flat 100 before and his 40 yard combine time was 4.29. The 40 for football players allows them to choose when they start so the reaction time to a gun isn't there. But Holiday in that same criteria was .05 seconds slower than Johnson. Jacoby Ford ran the fastest 60m in the ACC at 6.52 seconds (which puts him within 0.03 seconds from the 25th best time ever) and his combine 40 time was 4.28.

Maurice Green holds the 60m world record at 6.39 seconds. Bolts 60 meter split when he set the record in the 100m was 6.31.

Jeff Demps just led the USA 4x100 relay team as the first runner in the qualifying rd. They set a USA record.

While Demps will likely not be one of the final 4 for the medal he has legit track speed and consistently runs a 10.1 100 meters.

Demps is faster than CJ at that distance. Forget Bolt who is the fastest ever!
