I could take my truck up there and hit up the Brentwood Home Depot and in two days I could transform that backyard. Between my skillsaw and my jig I could come up with some nice castle shapes. I was thinking that a Rapunzel tower would be in order... I bet Puck or Hoffa would let me crash at their house so I wouldn't get in the way...

I need a quote. I'm on a budget. But this castle thing sounds SO cool! And I gotta check the homeowner's association bylaws on mini castle's in the backyard. You have to get their permission to put up retaining walls for landscaping!

And Gunny, nah, everybody is in Tuscany right now.

I'm not sure why that link didn't work for me but I navigated to it on my own. I could totally do that build. In fact, I don't link it would take a whole terrible a lot of time. I would even flank it with some more castle facades to give it more dimension and mass. The trap dungeon door looks a little like a safety risk but I suppose with proper instruction a child could play safely. It just looks like a gravity fed pinch point to me, but if that's what you want, I'm quite sure I could hook it up. I'm sure I could do that for you with a few trips to your local home depot and a few hundred dollars for labor. If you opened a store account I could go over a get the necessary materials. I have the tools necessary.

If I were building this I would also consider a swing along bridge to an adjacent tower. That might be kind of fun. Then again it is all to easy to get over elaborate in the planning process. I think it's a great concept and I'd like to give it a crack. Think it over, talk to your Mister and if you guys decide you would like to use me in this capacity just let me know.

two hours up i-24 is one thing. going all the away to New England is just waaaaayyy too far. If you were in Atlanta or Knoxville I'd jump all over that. I enjoy that kind of work.
