SUMMARY: Chris Carr will become a free agent on February 27 and has stated he wants to remain a Titan. "I definitely want to come back here. This is a situation where I feel like Coach [Jeff] Fisher is going to be here for awhile, and I definitely like my teammates and things here," Carr said. "I feel like we have the potential to be a pretty good team for awhile, so I definitely want to come back here." Carr averaged 10.1 yards per punt return on 32 punt returns and 28.1 yards per kickoff return on 35 returns, which helped the Titans lead the league in the latter category just one year after finishing near the bottom for the 2007 season. Carr also started two games at CB for an injured Nick Harper.

of course he wants to be here... he's not exactly in demand! :ha: seriously, he had a great season, don't get me wrong but Tennessee's front office plucked him off the woodpile.

I'd love for him to come back, but let's not keep the seat to warm.
I'm looking for the Titans to possibly go after a big time corner through the draft, if possible.
Nick Harper is all but down. I'm not sold on many of the corners behind him.

I believe Carr will be here based on special teams play alone. Added benefit of being a decent backup corner. It will all depend on his accepting an average offer from the team.

You can't underrate his worth. He might not be anything amazing, but he's very important.
    1. He doesn't muff punts. And we've seen how many players have a hard time catching punts first hand.
    2. He lead the league in punt return average. Better than the fluke that was Devin Hester. Better than anyone.
    3. After being burned by the Jags for a bit, he settled down and played pretty well for 2 games. Especially the 2nd.

He's a pretty valuable guy. To us, at least.

What about 'best in the NFL' translates to 'mediocre'?? He's very consistent. And with our O/D, field position is key. He's also a smart returner that knows when to let the ball go or field it.
