    Well I live in northern New York where it snows a ton. I hike a lot and live in an area with a lot of dirt roads. Other than that I want it to last a while and not look stupid like a wrangler. I don't do much for towing or hauling. Got a dog who will make it dirty.

    I'm still in love with my Dakota SLT 08'! 4.7 -318. More than enough power for a midsize truck, but I know that is not what you are looking for. Roomy interior for backseaters, and tow well too! May be something to look at. Cherokee owners I have known have not been happy at all!

    I own a '13 Highlander.

    It depends on your needs and wants. The Highlander drives more like a car but has the seats that fold down so you can load it up. I've enjoyed it the year I've had it.
