i know its been brought up before.....but can we really get something for fisher?it keeps coming up that we could trade him for draft picks or cash, but i thought there was a rule that would not allow that anymore.im just curious if theres something special about this year because there is no contract so coaches can be traded again for a period of time...

It's the same this year as any other year. It's technically not considered a "trade" but coaches can be bought out of their contracts via draft picks and/or monetary compensation. Why they don't just call it a trade I have no idea. But it is what it is.

So yes we can get draft picks for Fisher. Will we? Probably not. As much as I hate to admit it, I just don't see Bud letting go of his QB and HC in the same year.

We can trade him for a united locker-room and wins.

    But will we? No.

I'd bet this organization looks for the safety-belt on a mo-ped.

They don't call it a trade because the coach has to agree to it. You can trade a player to any team without the player's consent. At least that's what I'm guessing.

You get paid cash or picks in the draft. Then you release the coach from his contract.
