Well obviously it takes more than being tall and fast to be a CB, but the physical aspect is just as important as the mental side of it. How many CBs do you know who are 6 foot 3, strong, and with elite speed? Teams passed on him because of his low football IQ, and rightfully so. Oakland tends to take those type of players, and it generally doesn't work out. If you can get his football IQ up, then he can become a shutdown corner. His ceiling is much higher than anyone else's on the team due to his physical build.

ATV has a good football IQ but lacks the physical side of it. He's no outside CB. We have no true #2 CB opposite of McCourty. Since it looks like Campbell was a swing and a miss, we gotta hope that BWW or Sensabaugh will become our true #2 CB.. or we'll have to draft one.

Where do we get the idea that Campbell has such blinding speed? You guys talk about him like he is Bolt's twin brother. He didn't run at the combine and then as a matter of choice did not run a 40 on his pro day. He's fast but perhaps not as extraordinary as some of you think.

His cone time was ordinary 7.01. The top CB prospects need to crack a 7 second cone.

Verner cracked a 7 second cone he ran a 6.70. That's outstanding. So Verner is quicker, smarter and has better instincts. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=66655&draftyear=2010&genpos=CB

Where do you get that he has elite speed?

Britt has not produced more than Washington. Fitzpatrick arguably has produced more than VY. You have a point with CJ.

He might be the fastest dude on the defense.. he ran a 4.45 at the combine, and was a track star in High School. He was the Pennsylvania High School Sprint Champion to be exact. Not many defensive players have that kind of speed and height to go along with their ball, hitting, and coverage skills. If Campbell can get his football skills up, the sky is the limit for that dude with his physical abilities. I'm very disappointed to see him fall all the way to #5. Time is running out.

NFL coaches don't buy into psychological "crap"?

Come back when you have the slightest clue as to what you're talking about.

    No one knows.

But McCourtey isn't the football player Verner is. Most people know this.

Verner makes plays. McCourtey just tries to not give up huge ones.

And yet Verner has never been a captain. Hmm.

Captain shmaptain. Who cares. Perhaps its all politics. Perhaps he doesnt inspire or lead. Bottom line he is miles ahead of campbell. You mean to tell me that every starter is a captain? Guess that means all of our non captain starters are all losers right? You are reachin on this one bra. Just bite the bullet and make nice. Verns the man!
