    Same reason most stadiums have silly blow up field goal posts outside the entrances for people to kick balls thru. Fan engagement keeps people tuned in....

    A better way would be the person leading a statistical category is an automatic, and then fans can vote in alternates / leftovers

    QB #1: Most TDs / QB #2: Most Yards
    RBs: same
    WRs: same
    TEs: same

    Safeties/Corners: Most INTs
    DEs: most sacks, tackles for loss
    LBs: most sacks, tackles or tackles for loss

    Only problem with that logic is when top corners and safeties in their prime aren't thrown at, their numbers drop..... which would in turn keep them out of the pro bowl even though their great. Same goes for the other positions at times.

    Yeah. The only easy answer is to have either the league or journalists vote.

    It would be one thing if he lost the fan vote and Coaches/Players voted him high but got snubbed.

    He lost the Coaches/Players vote, by a good bit apparently.

    I like him as much as anyone here, but he's bottom of the league in TDs allowed and Missed tackles... top of league in INTs and PBUs.

    Until he cleans up the mistakes the league isn't going to vote him in as Automatically as some other guys.

    What about then adding a 2nd category for safeties/corners - lowest targets as a % of their team?
