    100% this. Mularkey was never ever going to win a SB as HC. That HAS to be a franchises ultimate goal each year. If you know he isn't the guy, you get rid of him as soon as you can, and bring in a guy you think can get your there. I'm not saying that guy is or isn't Vrabel, but JR certainly does. And I trust his judgement over anyone here.

    A lot of success was due to playing average to below average qbs all year. We can't bank on that every year. How you gonna say he had no qb but conclude that Mariota was good in 2016? Mularkey had no influence on the defense. I guarantee you this team will perform leaps and bounds better than under Mularkey

    No Titans coach was fired after "the team was going in the right direction" except Mularkey.
    Fisher downhill outside the 08' year starting in 05'
    Muchak start 9-7 then dropped from there
    Whiz took a bad team and got worse.

    I think it was pretty obvious to everyone (or at least those that do this for a living) that the team may have been better or at least won't get any better with Mularkey. 9-7 is his ceiling.

    Got a playoff win BECAUSE of the QB.
    Won't argue his regular season (again) but that KC win was Mariota.

    I think the moment MM8 caught that TD and scored, the Chiefs fans already knew what was coming. Andy Reid did his part to not let them down.

    Uh... Munchak definitely had the team going the right direction.

    In a 9-7 season a ton of losses came by 1 possession and that was with a pretty atrocious roster.

    But his personality sucked- so...

    And now Mularkey as well.

    That fluke play, sure.

    But let's give Cyprien the credit if we're doing that.

    Guy did more to win that game than any other Titan by simply killing Kelce.


    Also literally ended the game by deflection.
