SUMMARY: In what is sure to be one of the few times a fan will read of pregame smack for a preseason game, Titans LB Keith Bulluck has put a few of his upcoming opponents on notice. The regular season finale last season was a 40-23 loss where Bulluck felt many of the Patriot players acted unprofessionally. "Just the way they were acting after the game kind of irked me. A couple of the guys on the team weren't being too professional," Bulluck said. "It is only a preseason game, but No. 87 (Caldwell) needs to keep his head on a swivel, that's all I've got to say." In the final seconds of the Dec. 31 game, Caldwell was seen waving at the Titans sideline, taunting some players. The Patriots had also sent veteran Vinny Testaverde into the game and let him throw a touchdown. "I hope his old (butt) is out there, too," Bulluck said of Testaverde, who worked with the Patriots in minicamps but currently isn't on New England's roster.

The question is will our DC let Bulluck go. I'd like to see our defense designed where everyone on the team has assignments except Bulluck and he is allowed to free lance, blitz and do whatever he sees the opportunity to do. Give him some freedom and let him rush the passer more and he will make the pro-bowl, might even be defensive MVP.

Once again, Bulluck won't be on the field with Caldwell, who isn't a a starter anymore.

It's hard to punish a team in preseason. I'd rather punish them in the playoffs.

Yeah, but some young kid like Griff will be out there wanting to impress the Bull (the D's leader), and hopefully he'll take Reche's google-eyed head off.

Better to snag those 15 yard penalties in the preseason :)

The best thing about this is that Bulluck is setting the tone of the defense for this year. We got pushed around the last 2 years or so, and he's serving notice to the young guys that the Titans are going to play with attitude again. While I think that we plugged some holes on D, we still have some question marks and are likely to get burned here and there. But if they let those plays go and play with an edge, hit hard and go full throttle we should do ok.
