LT sucked yet Fuller was available as just an instance


Without All-Pro talent on front 4 dehr Schwartzie's D sucks. squeelers racked up 374 yards without AH available. Incrediably the dolts racked up nearly 400 playing backups against Dehr Schwartzie.

As for further proof that MBSGWB sucks how about that classic quote "you can't blitz Peyton Manning" after his D gave up 60 something points to the dolts combined in two losses a couple of seasons ago. Hey Jimbo obviously you can't NOT blitz Gayton either, yet you NEVER did - not once. And you passivly gave up two wins cause you were too scared too take a chance to make a play. This is why Schwartz sucks!

 

OK but we sacked Ben what 4 or 5 times? Couple of turnovers... WON THE GAME. What's so bad about that? We can't hold every single team we play under 300 yards. And who cares about the Colts game? It didn't count.

As for the other stuff hey it sucked but it' happened so long ago I can't get upset over it. I'm not going to hold it against a guy when we went from a last place defense to the best defense. I guess you guys seem to think we should always have a top 5 defense no matter what.

Tulluch and Fuller yea... couple of all pros right there.

 

point is he would not change personnel no matter how badly they were playing. Nobody saying Fuller and Tulluch are all pros, but at that time they had upside and there was zero chance of a production dropoff, none, especially in the case of replacing LT. Heck benching LT and going with 10 would often worked out better as the dude just gave false hope of being in the right place or covering his zone. I would rather the only S KNOW he had to cover both sides of the field plus the middle and take the run support. At least he would know rather than having too by default.

Does not inspire confidence when DC publicly states he does not care about yards. Those 374 yards against squeelers flipped the field a few times and put additional pressure on the O. There is nothing in the rules against forcing a three and out, but MBSGWB has no problem with allowing the opposing O to sustain drive after drive as long as eventually a TD is not allowed. See Turkey Bowl against HouMoos prior to squeeler game. Last 3 game of season Titan D allowed 1200ish yards - way to go MBSGWB!

 

What did those 374 yards get the Steelers? It got them 14 points, a loss, and cost them homefield. Its not always about total yards in the NFL, its about pts allowed and "W's". That second game against the Colts was a preseason game practically, i wouldnt put any emphasis on stats for a game that had absolutely no meaning.

And yes I am aware that Titan game ball reciepant Rotherlejsteger was playing hot potato with the ball. TOs aside, and I agree they are huge so I am not downplaying them, Titan D was gouged in that game. And I will even go as far as too say, again, that the D at the end was protecting the sidelines and allowing the middle to scrub the clock and assure the win, so those were some cheap yards in the 4th. Still the squeelers were on a 300+ pace before the 4th. The yards were important comming off the Cow debacle where MBSGWB's D allowed TWO 16 play drives for cryin' out loud. That is just inexcusable and puts too much pressure on the Titan offense.
