While its frustrating to see all these free agents sign with other teams, I can't help thinking that if the Titans had agreed to any of these deals, people would be screaming that we overpaid.

Bobby Wade is the only real loss.

But we have young geeks who need to be tested in battle rather than overpay for some dinosaurs.

Good news. Stallworth isn't worth it. I have faith in building through the draft anyway.

Enough with this "overpaid" crap! The cap went up people! The number of players allowed on the roster did not. Therefore one can only assume that contracts are going to go up proportionately! Now Nate Clements, Bennett and Leonard Davis look as though they might have been a tad "overpaid", but most of these contracts should be expected with all the new money in the league.

Now what is more likely here, Reinfeldt is getting caught with his pants down in his first month as a GM

    OR

EVERY OTHER GM IN THE LEAGUE DOESN'T KNOW HOW THE CAP WORKS AND ARE SETTING THEMSELVES UP FOR "CAP HELL"!?

Give me a break. If for no other reason than to keep him away from AFC rivals Miami and New England we should have made Stallworth a competetive offer. I bet you anything we didn't. :irked:

Who said every GM in the league has signed somebody? If you don't believe me, just take a look to the north. The World Champion Indianapolis Colts have lost Rhodes, June, Harper, and Stokely. Who've they signed? No one. Do you honestly think their season is doomed? Our other two main competitors, what have they done? The Jags signed Dennis Northcut. Yeah, I'm really scared now. :suspect: The Texans? Ahman Green. Not a bad signing, but it doesn't suddenly make them better than us. See, these three teams are ones we really have to keep pace with, and they haven't done any more than we have.

You can even look around the rest of the NFL. What about the NFC Champion Chicago Bears? They haven't signed anybody. The Packers have a lot more holes than us, who've they signed? What about the Steelers, another historically good franchise? The Oakland Raiders were the worst team in the league, but all they've signed is a back up running back.

As for Stallworth, we are now, as fans, letting our desire for a signing overide our common sense. We've NEVER had good luck with free agent wide receivers, but here we are begging to sign a guy with chronic hamstring issues?
