You have seen the highlights of the Dallas-Detroit game. Many saw the entire game. Calvin Johnson had what seemed like 5000 yards against the boys and single handed beat them.

Watch the highlights and see what #39 is doing. He looks like a undrafted 3rd string guy in that game. He couldn't cover his own arse!

Is that what a 5 year $50M deal gets?

That's what Calvin does to people. Carr looked like crap, but I give the praise to Calvin for just being a boss.

Oddly enough, I watched the game and thought Carr did a really nice job. About half the time, Carr was all over Johnson and he made ridiculously contested catches. ...and he had a hand in 2 turnovers. The rest of the damage was soft zone.

Calvin Johnson typically gets 300 yards a game? If Calvin has a 10 catch 150 yard game the Cowboys win and this thread does not exist.

Johnson was averaging 85 yards a game prior to the cowboys. Then he puts up 329 against a guy making $10M a year and that's not an event?

There was an 87 yard play where Carr had man coverage, was beat inside on a slant and his tackle attempt was pathetic.

On one of the plays where Johnson out jumped the defense Carr was there and didn't even contest the ball he was there and seemed to be looking at the safety to make the play. Then he didn't even the tackle.

Look at Johnson's highlights from the game #39 is always near by but never makes a play. They didn't pay him to run alongside receivers they paid him that money to contest passes.

He had a hand in 2 turnovers and the Cowboys should have won the game. The game is geared towards the quarterback and wide receiver succeeding.

What is your point? Don't spend money on cornerbacks. Fill the roster with Rey Hill and Ryan Mouton and old Nick Harper.

I'll admit I don't go out of my way to follow/watch Brandon Carr. So whether or not he's worth his contract I have no idea. But I don't think I'd use his performance against arguably the most gifted WR to ever play the game as a gauge for it.

The better question is where was Morris Claiborne?

He lost his starting job about a month ago and pulled his hamstring on a punt yesterday.
