    It looks to complex (and a little violent) for a child. I am surprised it is called a childrens book. I would think Young Adults.

    I'm reading Anne Rice "Christ the Lord Out of Egypt".
    It's very good. I've read ever book she's written, even under different names. This one is totally different from anything she's written before. She's always been able to describe things in a way to set a mood, and she still does.

    lol, yeah....its up there with the harry potter books, the hobbit, sons of the dark, warrick, etc. its not exactly made for elementary school kids.

    The only Anne Rice book I've read is Servant of the Bones.I enjoyed it but I always seem to have something more pressing I want to read before picking up another of her books.

    I think if I started with her 1st book I might get into them.There's just so many good books out there.
