It's true that Hass was out of sync with Britt and all that, but think of it this way:

We lost by 2 points. We spent the first half getting 3-and-outs constantly. If CJ had showed up to camp and if at least he was in sync with the offense, don't you think we win that game despite the other issues?

One thing is for sure... Nobody is pleading the "CJ is the best RB in the league" cause at this point.

He looks like one of the worst.

For whatever excuse you can come up with, his backup is outperforming him by a large margin. That is not arguable, really.

Which is why we needed our super star RB to be exactly that. When the QB is slacking, the RB has to be ready. He wasn't.

    OK you must be slow.

800K is nothing compared to other NFL players. And its nothing considering how long CJ's career is going to be. Why should he show up and play for close to the league minimum? Contract or not, the Titans knew what he wanted for 2 YEARS! They didn't even contact CJ until a few days after the THRID PRESEASON GAME.

This fanbase really is a big embarrassment at some points.

he was under contract for this yr already. He knew that and he should have been here

    A. Peterson come to camp and worked out with his team. And you know what he got a new contract done

So what? He has a few less mansions. Poor baby.

So that he would be ready when the season starts? Because he's on a TEAM and he's UNDER CONTRACT and his priority should be to always be ready for when the TEAM needs him? Since, you know, PERFORMING WELL is how he has any leverage to begin with, and right now he ain't performing well. Again, most top RBs got more yards last week than CJ has gotten ALL SEASON.

They consistently said that if he showed up to camp they would get it done. There is no doubt in my mind that CJ would have gotten the exact same deal if he had shown up and worked with them. But he didn't, so now he's behind and we lose a game to the Jaguars that we shouldn't have lost.

Remind me again, did every player that got a huge contract at the start of this season have to hold out? And also, why couldn't CJ have gotten ready for the season, but threaten to holdout once the season starts? If that had been the case, no one would be booing him and we wouldn't be having this conversation, because at that point if a deal wasn't done in time CJ would be in the right and the Titans would be way way way in the wrong.

But that's not the case. CJ was selfish, didn't attend training camp or any of that, and now we're pretty much relying exclusively on the passing game while we wait to see if he comes back into form and earns that paycheck.

I know. Supporting crap like CJ's hold out because the poor child wasn't making enough money to finance his mouth/bad rap label despite the fact that it obviously hurt the team early on. What the hell is wrong with you people? You folks still going to be defending that nonsense if we miss the playoffs by one loss?

Adrian Peterson isn't Chris Johnson and their situations were different.

-CJ was dealing with a cheap FO known for leaving players hanging.

-And AP's contract expired next season, CJ's expired 2 years from now.

-AP wasn't picked 24th, he was picked 8th.

You all sound stupid with this ridiculous idea that CJ NEEDED to be in camp and be with his OC while a deal got done. It took the Titans and CJ all but 48hours to get a deal done once talks opened. If the team would have handled this once the lockout ended, CJ doesn't miss camp, period. There is no arguing that.

Yeah. I mean, Chris Hope and Nate Washington are superstars and we barely pay them anything.

    Cheap Titans, I tell ya.
