    Gunny, you may be right. But I downloaded and played this game last night and it is unbelievable. Incredible. I don't know how else to put it. I admit I love a good FPS but I feel that this is to FPS what KOTOR was to RPGs (ie the game is just so good it could even bring someone who doesn't care for the format). I have not played the whole game so this opinion is based on what is a F***in' great demo.

    yeah I like the concepts
    for the most part is felt unique and original
    atmosphere is the "catch of the day"

    I don't doubt Bioshock is that good. I just find IGN is influenced by hype.

    Halo 3 is a guaranteed 9.something already, no matter how good/bad it may end up being.

    IGN has been a little unbalanced in their review processes before

    re: Halo (i'll use 2 for this observation) Gamespot ranked it pretty high too
    both ranked the PC version in the low 7's
    they're usually pretty consistent
