    Same can be said for movies, books, art, etc. The more "into it" you get the more you start to analyze and nitpick every little detail and flaw. And in a way it ends up kind of wrecking the "magic", as you put it, that made you love it so much in the first place.

    Everyone is an expert critic these days. But IMO all entertainment is not art and all art is not entertainment. So I can thoroughly enjoy a super formulaic blockbuster while also realizing it is not really "artistic" in any way. I try to just enjoy stuff for what it is and if I don't like/get it I move on.
