yeah, I'm sure that's true. A lot of guitarists think they need to solo at every opportunity, and blues does catch a lot of the people trying to break in, because it's simpler and fun to play (allows for a lot of space to play solos excessively) It's harder to find a guitarist who accompanies the music instead of either just playing chords, or just playing solos all the time. I'm sure hard rock/metal has the same issue, probably worse. I think people who pigeonhole themselves, and brand themselves as one style of guitarist suck most of the time, and the other 20 percent are just brilliant at that genre. unless their style is Blink182/Green Day.. then they suck all the time.
