    These were actually my favorite two bands in my high school days... Despite everyone else listening to some really awful rap and pop music.

    Sort of stopped listening to Floyd after high school, but never stopped listening to Zeppelin. Therefore, they get my vote.

    Zep is not my absolute favorite band in the world but I have owned every record of theirs and they are all very good to great.

    I am reminded of when I was a kid and I bought In Thru The Out Door, which featured inner sleeve art that was printed with old school dotted water colors.
    The kind that is black and white until you brush over them with water.

    The big deal back in the day was to swap records and tape them so I told my buddy he could borrow the record - but DO NOT mess with the dotted inner art. I wanted to keep that untouched.
    So I get the record back and every spot with dots had been "tested" - probably with a bit of spit on the end of a finger. Mother*cker!
    I still have that record with all the "test colors" as they were in 1980.

    If this were a competition of which band is better to fall asleep to, pink Floyd would be my vote.
    Led Zep is a solid and fitting winner for this competition.
