Mariota doesn't have any extensive injury history. I think he sprained his knee at one point in 2013. Never missed a game in his career. If he gets hurt this year and CBJ has to play we get another high pick, more than likely.

Flipping the sixth round pick we used on Mett into anything higher than a fourth is a win for the franchise. Although I can assure you no one is trading for him this close to the season unless there is absolute carnage around the league at the QB position in the preseason. You get to ride the jock one more year.

 

If we traded mett for anything less than a third/conditional second it would be damn stupid. This franchise has had 1 qb go all 16 in like 12 years. Let mariota prove he can play 16 games, then trade mett after next preseason when his value will be highest.

 

It's good to have a good backup. Why trade him now before mariota has played a down? Sounds like something a feminist would suggest

 

And Mett contract is cheap. Have a good back up with a cheap contract sounds win win to me. Don't trade now. Wait until after season and before draft if going to but I would keep him.

You need two good qb's and CBJ should not be in the league and I think he has the same thing with Wiz that donnie nickey had with fisher........MAN CRUSH!
