Article on Titans not making playoffs in '08

The White/Johnson combo is better than Lynch and Young is better than Edwards as well as the OL is in the Titans favor. The WR group is different, if it wasn't for Evans the 2 teams would be even but Evans is pro-bowl caliber so the Bills have a better WR core. Throw in defense and the Titans would kill em.

 

This argument has serious flaws
1. Neglects Hemidingers ability to coach QB-McNair was average until Hemidinger came, with Hemi, McNair won MVP.
2. Blames all of the offensive struggles on VY regression-losing his #1 and #2 WR (Wade and Bennett) hurt, but doesn't explain the regression in his technique
3. Doesn't include improvements to the defensive front-Jevon Kearse, KVB, and Big Al. When healthy, offensives will have to use the OL, TE, and a RB to block. 7 guys to block 4. 8 guys who are at the mercy of our DL.


I'm not saying will pull a NE and go 18-0. I think it is not unreasonable to think we could go 12-4 without any major injuries

 

Titans are going to get 10-12 wins this season. Someone is going to have to step up and help VY.

 

Hmmmm...

The Titans won't make the playoffs because everyone else in our division is good??? Yes we have one of the strongest divisions in recent memory, but that's why we gotta play the games. If the offense doesn't get better and the D falls back quite a bit (Schwartz' 3 deep zone got torched in the 2nd half), we could be in trouble.

But the Steelers won't make it due to history? They have a relatively new QB and HQ...but the old stats count and are important???
