Are we missing something: Derrick Morgan

Ive been saying for years now that Morgan was a good pick.

 

I agree. Though I fear there will be too much dead cap space taken up by Wimbly next year and we will not see a big savings until 2015. When we will really need it because Casey, Ayers and Locker will all be up.

 

He's a good left end, but he's not a good pass rusher, which is what you should be getting with that high of a pick on a defensive end. Not his fault we were content waiting around and watching the other ends with superior athleticism get drafted.

 

WOW. 2.0 sacks!!! Good for being tied for 92nd in the league!!! I think we got a winner on our hands here, fellas!

Pitotua and Casey both have more. TWO SAFETIES in the league have better sack numbers.

Morgan is the best at not finishing the play. I will give him that.

Probably. But doubt it's from us.

 

I doubt he'll get a big contract unless his stats step up. He is a rotational DE.

I don't dislike Derrick Morgan.. I do dislike how people gush about him like he's really something. He is a maybe even slightly above average DE. He does not generally make the big plays, and that's what you want from a high dollar, impact DE.

He is a good player. He does not have a past, present, or future as a pro bowl star DE.

 

Meh some team will see him, fall in love, and throw stupid $$ at him.

 

that does happen frequently. especially if the team's coach's name is Fisher.
