I'm having trouble getting Apple remote to work. I know the Apple remote is on because the infered is showing up in photobooths camera, but it still isn't coming up.
    Any ideas.

Oh, and the remote isn't blocked.

look to make sure the receiver (on the mac) is on
I'm not sure everything is ON by default

  6. I believe that all remotes work with all other remote-ready macs (though I'm not sure). You could take the remote and see if it works on another mac.

And see if you can borrow another remote and test it on your mac.

Is there a certain part of the computer that I should point to. I've been pointing at the screen...
    I don't have apple care.

I got the computer in Feb? and just started to find a need for the remote.

  9. Even without AppleCare, it's still under warranty. So you should be able to take it to any authorized repair location or call Apple.

As for the remote, I think it should work if you just point it at the front of the computer in general.
