Um, Corey Davis was drafted the offseason after Mariota had his best statistical year. There was optimism about the future of the passing game. Cooper became available when it was pretty evident that Mariota wasn’t going to get any better. So, the situations were absolutely different.

Then after 2 very no statistical seasons, the argument was that MM didn’t have enough weapons. On to the draft, how many votes were for Brown in the first but still more than excited in the 2nd.

If this is a known Issue that WR are a waste here, no reason we shouldnt be riding the Tajae Sharpes of the world and castoff FA like humphries. Honestly, he even seems like an expensive waste.

    Yes.

Is there anyone still defending that pick?

JRob is a bad GM. He makes mostly bad picks.

I am. I will continue to do so until we have a real QB behind center.

NONE of our WRs have produced. Not the #5 pick. Not the second round pick. Not the guy who had 192 combined catches the last three years with a different QB throwing him the ball.

When Davis gets targets he produces. Same with Humphries. AJ Brown has been awesome when he gets the ball thrown his way.

    What's the constant?

I have no idea what you are arguing about or trying to defend.

The same people that do t want to spend a first on Cooper we’re perfectly ok with a 1 on Davis and a 2 on brown but also bring the argument of WR being wasted in Tennessee in general.
An inconsistent fan base for an inconsistent team.

    I don’t think it’s Davis, I think it’s our offense.
So the pick may not have been bad if we ran an offense that used him. Since we don’t, the pick as a WR in general was bad.

So, it would've been wasted on Amari, as well... and we wouldn't have a big contract - yet.

That’s how i see it. I mean the most successful MM was is with trash and walker.

Sharpe isn’t a #1 by any means and if guys are out there that don’t drop the ball, their name is irrelevant. They’re not breaking 1K or getting 10 TD. Stop wasting high picks for production that will never match the pick.
