1st-Michael Griffin, or draft Reggie Nelson
2nd-Steve Smith, we needed a good WR
    3rd-Charles Johnson
    4th-Leroy Harris
    4th-Steve Breaston
    5th-H.B. Blades
    6th-Ryan Smith
    6th-Ramonce Taylor
    6th-Marvin Mithcell
    7th-Mike Otto

thats what i would have done, and the funny thing is that all the people that i picked were there when we would have picked, haha.

    1st = WR R. Meachem; 2nd = DE T. Crowder

Now doesnt that sound like a nice definitly fill the need type draft

    1st - WR Robert Meachem
    2nd - DE T. Crowder

now those are two very goodlookin prospects and some ppl thought crowder was first round talent.

but the funny thing is that both these players were actually options when we were drafting but we didnt take em...not like we coudlnt...but rather we didnt...i no if i was a GM i def woulda picked em up...fillin our two mosted positions with high potential talent.

maybe that should tell you something? we COULD have taken them, but we didnt.

same thing as last year when we COULD have taken matt leinart or jay cutler, but we didnt.

just shows we got the guys that we wanted.

I thought it would have been better if it went like this...

    1) Aaron Ross- CB
    2) Steve Smith- WR
    3) Charles Johnson- DE

But i'm just an armchair quarterback who know nothing about scouting or anything. That's why I leave the process up to people who get paid to do it.

Steve Smith will be a slot type receiver...not sure thats what we needed. I was thinking we'd go Ross as well, but don't mind Griffin one bit.

Only time will tell who really had the best draft (2-4 years down the road).

after reading peter kings monday morning quarterback article today, it seems we did have a chance to move down with cleveland with a trade but turned them down:

"Savage didn't try Cincinnati at 18. "You think they'd ever trade with us?'' he said, chuckling. "I don't think so.'' Tennessee and the Giants, at 19 and 20, respectively, both said no. Next up was Jacksonville, which planned to make its new pick at 21. Another phone call. Another no."

I guess we didnt want to move out of the first round and not get a impact player but we would have had 2 first round picks in next years draft.
