Yessir. That article has some of the same information that I'd read earlier today. The catch is that it's not likely he will be able to clear a physical by March, thus they're almost surely on the hook for his 2018 salary already. That's without seeing how he performs post-op.

 

You basically answered your own question, he is in same tier as Smith. So its either pay Cousins close to 30mil a year or pay Smith around 20mil. Cant blame them really.

Everyone in this thread had memory loss or something. The redskins tried to work out a contract with cousins many many many times and dude wouldn't even counter half the time. The redskins wanted cousins, make no mistake about that. But cousins didn't want the redskins.
