Haynesworth has spent the better part of his career underachieving and has had more than enough conduct incidents to raise a wary eye. He's not as intelligent as he's getting credit for either. He's a fat greedy slob that's going to suck the life out of some poor team not named Tennessee Titans.

"I wouldn't put a foolish statement past Haynesworth, but on the other hand, he's really not a dummy, either. He's extremely intelligent."

You may be using "extremely intelligent" a bit too loosely . . . he may not be a dip****, and he may even have above average intelligence (no evidence for that that I know of though) . . . but lets reserve "extremely intelligent" for our doctors, rocket scientists, engineers, etc.

Goodbye Al. No hard feelings here. Its your life, you have to live it . . . get the best deal you can. Whether any of us here on this board will admit it or not, that is what the vast majority of us would do in your shoes . . .

I wouldn't expect any Titans fan to think or write any different in wake of him leaving. If he would have stayed... then the opposite would be happening of course.

Point being... every other team in our division is quite happy fat albert is moving on and every other team of the division he lands in will be quite unhappy as time passes. That dude in the middle was a fricking immovable object that could rush the passer. Quite rare and good riddance!

I think AH will continue to play at a very high level and be a dominant player. I also think he'll miss 4 games on average.

But what does it matter that I think that? Only to a jaded mooooo troll i suppose.

That may come to pass. He might be so pissed that Tennessee didn't re-sign him that he sinks into a morbid puddle of Shaun Rogersness. I'm sure it's dawned on him that if he had one more year of solid production he wouldn't even be in this spot. On the other hand, he's shown way more than less-deserving dudes who got theirs from their team a lot sooner.

I think underachieving was unfortunately part of his growing up curve. They're all different. And yes, as well, I think Al has some issues to still work through.

I don't think the Titans are going to play this $100M game, but I think they're going to play the guaranteed one as much as possible. Haynesworth is kind of now taking the Titans hand and forcing them to show him a high card. He wants to know if the Titans are going to be serious and he's telling them they need to put their hat in the ring up front...now...because there won't be a later. It doesn't have to be in front of the media, but the Titans are going to have to say something like, "Okay, five years, blah blah blah, $36M guaranteed." Speck will say, "Okay. We're going into free agency now. That bought you the right to come back to us if that offer is surpassed."

The Titans are just going to have put out their best offer and hope it's enough. That's what Al wants to see, whether he takes it or not.
