I love the hypothetical metrics. It’s how nerds can put blame on other players and try making the case that someone is better than they are. For example, don’t care what analytics exist, AJ Brown never had a “better” season than Kupp’s 2021 season. Reminder in case anyone forgot: 145 catches, 1947 yards, 16 TDs. Second, I notice the cool metrics discussed don’t have any value that considers “availability/not injured”. I’m sure Brown drops down pretty low among the “top WR” when added to the metrics. That and in the brief mention of Brown, it relies on his 2019 season which we all know his production dropped from there. Stretch at this point to suggest a ball was dropped on Brown. If anything, smart move NOT paying him $25 mil/season since he’s not as good as the other WR making $25 mil/ season.
