After this season can we never hear this again

Seriously people, I think 520 is a dumb ass like the rest of you...but history shows that 9 wins just isn't likely to win the South or any other division, really.

I backed it up with stats. I'm not looking again, but I think it was since 2002 only one division had 4 times that a team won the division with less than 10 wins.

And again, the AFC South hasn't been the worst division if we're talking division leader record... So just get it out of your head that the AFC South sucks so bad that any team only needs 8-9 wins to win the division.

Could it happens? Sure... The Seahawks won their division with 7 wins one time. But for the most part, 9 wins doesn't win any division and has only won the AFC South TWICE in 15 years so saying it every year is pretty ridiculous.

 

8-9 Win teams win in their division in years where the division is absolutely abysmal.

Hardly the norm.

 

I agree with this sentiment exactly but for the sake of this thread, as almost exact to this the OP was, I think he lost some of the room with this:

He specifically pointed out the titans can’t do it.

Your post proved the statistics of every team having the same likelihood (small) of winning the division with 9 wins or less.
For whatever reason, he felt the need to point out the titans are even less likely because it hasn’t happened yet.
