There are many people in the media who believe Vince doesn't have what it takes from a mental strength/maturity standpoint. Another take on this:

^Who cares what Fisher thinks of Vince. Vince Young has done more for the Titans during his time there than Jeff Fisher has ever done. Jeff owes his job to Vince. He also has little say as to what happens with Vince. Vince controls his own destiny. This should be the last off the field incident we see from Vince. He's more grown up and will handle this better going into camp.

I will admit something tho; as critical as all these writers are of Vince, I'd probably be saying similar if I were them. Fortunately for me I'm a Titans fan who can sit back & relax knowing Vince is good when he has to be. I don't get caught up in his stats, or off the field drama. I did that his sophomore season at Texas and was left looking foolish. I learned earlier not to doubt his abilities when he's playing his game. The later half of 2009 we saw Vince doing Vince and everyone praising him for it. Vince was talked into visiting that club, not smart, but not Vince either. This is one isolated incident we can move past.

Who cares what Fisher thinks of Vince? Fisher is the head coach, I think it's very important as to what Jeff thinks of his QB. Vince Young has done more for the Titans during his time there than Jeff Fisher has ever done? How so? Seriously, I'm not sure you can compare what a head coach has done vs. a player, but Vince had a good rookie season, and a few good games last year, so maybe I'm missing all the great things he's done so far? Vince does control his own destiny to a point. All players are responsible for their behavior on and off the field, but the decision on whether he is the starting QB for the Titans is not his to make, so his destiny as a player may be controlled by someone other than himself. Vince seems to be taking a long time to grow up. In my opinion, he's a spoiled brat and for some reason has to learn things the hard way. I keep reading about how Vince has made great strides in becoming a leader for the Titans. I think he still has a lot of growing up to do before he can seriously be considered a leader.

I think it's awesome that someone in his home state riled him and gave him the Horns down!! Not every Texan likes VY, that was probably the biggest shock to him, he might have expected that in TN, but not Texas.

VY has not done more for the Titans during his time than Fisher has ever done. That's so wrong. Fisher doesn't owe his job to Vince. He owes it to Bud for letting him stay around this long without having success in the playoffs.

Nope. Bud has been sparing Fisher for a long time now. If Bud weren't so old, Fisher would be gone.

Vince did save Fisher's job. In 2008 his cry baby mental breakdown not only resulted in the Titans having the best record in the AFC but made Fisher look like a genius. You can't really blame Fisher for the playoff loss either considering CJ got hurt and LW and Crumpler can't hang on to the ball (not to mention the refs screw up).

Basically I don't give a flip what commentators think of VY one way or another. The proof is in the results. We shall see.
