Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky
The Jaguars hired a defensive coordinator, Mel Tucker, with a recent background in the 3-4 and one of their two defensive ends drafted last season, Quentin Groves, can play comfortably as a 3-4 outside linebacker.

Add it all up and it means we'll see the Jaguars jump into some 3-4 in 2009, according to Michael C. Wright.

He gives a very detailed account of two different versions of the 3-4. Interestingly, he says John Henderson was actually playing like a two-gap nose tackle last year, frustrating coaches who didn't want him to wait and decide which gap to fill.

How much will the Jags do this? It could be merely situational. But if they prove good at it, we could see it more than that.
