"In the 110-106 double overtime finale victory over Russia, Rubio scored 51 points (including a three-point buzzer-beater shot from mid court to force the first overtime), grabbed 24 rebounds, made 12 assists, and stole the ball seven times"

I don't care what age group you play in, that is mightly impressive.

I'm sure he's good. But I just doubt he'll translate well here. Seen it too many times, guys that are good over there come here and do little to nothing after riding overseas hype.
And some of those guys in those highlights look like I could beast on them. Their pros are probably like our college though, so it makes sense. I could play college ball here, but thats it. But then again, I couldn't score 50 in a game.

that guy getting passed through his legs summed it up pretty much lol. Embarrassing. You cant do that at the rec center here.
His long lobs/oops are good, but you simply cant do that here beyond college. You lob from the 3 pt line, and it's a turnover, guaranteed.

Except Spain are better than the USA. Argentina as well.
    Probably some others too.

When was the last time the U.S. put an actual team that had chemistry in an international competition?

There's a reason those leagues are basically a try-out for the NBA. And there's a reason that those guys are usually average when they finally get a shot.

The U.S. will win the 2008 olympics. Because it'll be the first time they actually send a team over that has chemistry and has played together since the 'Dream Team'. Keep in mind, we were sending college kids over there to compete for awhile because we thought it was that much of a joke.

And other international teams play in what world competition to give them chemistry? When did the Dream Team of the Jordan/Johnson days ever play together?

Would USC beat an NFL Dream Team because they have played together before while the NFL Dream Team.

The dream team had almost the same roster for 3 years. Just as this year's USA team will have had.
But yeah, you're right. Greece is better at basketball than NBA players.

    lmao
