Terrible thread, it was all KFCs fault:( I was unaware that KFC played WR and Defense.

We can't forget the fact that had brady stayed in there and they had their offense going all out for 60 minutes they could have scored 80! That first drive in the 2nd half looked like a warmup for them it was so easy. They could have had at least 2 more TDs had they not lightened up on us.

As for our QBs i agree they both suck. Hoyer looked better than either of our guys. Next year i assume we will have a total turnover at that position.

Obviously I had it wrong. This was my first viewing; on NFL Game Rewind.

That said, the Defense seems to have had enough. Too bad for us if this is true.

Brian Hoyer, 9 completions in 11 pass attempts. 81%

Last year in the big ten he completed 51% of his passes. What are we a MAC team?

I actually looked up the worst defeat in the history of professional football, just to make sure we hadn't set a new record

It looked like they were skating out in the snow that day.

There is a grain of truth here - if your offense can't stay on the field AT ALL, your defense will eventually get worn out and start giving up yardage in chunks, and the opposing offense will have so many more opportunities to score that you'll eventually be swamped.

The problem is that none of this is relevant when it's only the second quarter. The offense did nothing, of course, but the defense totally failed before it was even halftime. Lots of teams get shut out in a half but have their defense hold on to the game and keep it close; one half of bad offense isn't an excuse for giving up 45 points in 2 quarters.
