With the cut to 75 coming today I thought I would try to predict the 53 man roster just for fun and once I started looking at it I realized that there are some rather tough cuts this year. So I made an excel of who I thought would and wouldn't make it, including practice squad picks. You guys are more than welcome to use the template and make your own predictions. We can use this as the official cuts thread as well.

Here are my notable cuts: D. Edison, M. Rolle, D. Nickey:)brow:), R. Brock, D. Thorton, T. Hill, P. Williams :clown:, and
    C. Simms:shocked:

I was very close to cutting Jovan Haye and keeping Edison because of Hayes' salary. I guess we shall see. I cut Nickey because I think Schommer takes his ST spot. I also kept M. Rivera because of his ST play.

So knock yourselves out and channel your inner Miss Cleo and let the world know how much you know...or don't.

I agree with Simms being cut. If after all these years he can't make the third string Titans team, he's done. And Nickey, you'd think someone who sucks wouldn't even be here at this point, but he's a freaking roach. The Safety depth will be important as Hope is on the decline, and Griffin is kind of a wildcard after 2009. Seems with Griff you'll either get the 2007 rookie, or the 2008 All-Pro.

    Here's what I would do:

    QB: Young, Collins
    RB: CJ, Blount, Ringer, Gado
    FB: Hall
    TE: Scaife, Stevens, Cook
WR: Britt, Washington, Gage, D. Williams, Hawkins, Mariani
OL: Roos, Harris, Amano, Scott, Stewart, Kropog, Otto, Velasco, Durand

    K: Bironas
    P: Kern
    LS: Amato

    LE: Hayes, Babin, Brock
    RE: Morgan, Ford
DT: T. Brown, Jones, Haye, Marks
OLB: Witherspoon, McRath, Thornton, Curran, Keglar
    MLB: Tulloch, Winborn
    CB: Finnegan, McCourty, Verner, Hill
S: Griffin, Hope, Fuller, Schommer, Johnson

    KR: Mariani, D. Williams
    PR: Mariani

Note: This is what I would do, not Jeffy Fisher.

    nickmsmith Most poverty RB core.

More Safeties on the team than CBs? I can't see that happening.

You can keep one more because McRath will be suspended the first four games.

Usually I'd leave a post alone to be your post, but I just wanna weigh in on some things you have here.
I like that you only have two QB's.
Blount is on the verge of being cut. Gado is our No.3 RB as of right now.
I like Britt's potential, but you can't ignore the inconsistency there. Nate gets the start over Britt based on preseason action. And it looks as though carrying 6 WR's will be the plan.
Defensively we'll probably be forced to keep a few extra DE's. So much talent, and with Washburns rotation that's a great thing.
I think because of the surplus of quality DE's, we're stuck leaving some good players home on game day.

And how could you forget "The Boom"?!?!
The sad thing is, Blount or Smith may lose their job for Donnie Nickey.

Fry Welcome to the land of tomorrow!

And David Thornton is currently on the PUP list, so he's not taking up a roster spot.

i know gado has looked better...but i would rather keep blunt. maybe he can go punch peyton manning or something

Why would we cut Tye Hill when we are extremely thin at corner?

I'm not claiming he's great, but he should stay, considering we only have 3 guys in front of him.

The same can be said for Thornton.
