Why couldn't Morgan play DE in a 3-4?

He has size.

He could actually move outside too.

 

he could do either one

 

That's my point. We aren't missing that much to move into a 3-4.

 

He is not big enough to be a 3-4 DE and is too slow to be a 3-4 OLB. I might be wrong but I just don't see it. He is a prototypical 4-3 DE.

 

Well he isn't all that great at being a prototypical 4-3 DE so it won't hurt to force his ass to do what we need him to do.

I like Morgan, I think hes pretty solid. If he stays at DE cool, but even Jerry Gray said hes a OLB in a 3-4, so either way his contract year will be interesting to watch

 

Draft Louis Nix and I think 3-4 would be in question.

I think we have the personnel to run a 3-4, but there is no way Casey plays NT, nor can I see Hill playing NT.

 

Freeny, Dumervil, Mathis, Hali, and Mario Williams also weren't supposed to fit the 3-4 either and how did that work out? Don't knock it til you try it. Morgan is pretty athletic for his size. I could see it working.

 

I have a hard time seeing Morgan as a 3-4 OLB.

I see Ayers performing better at that spot.

 

Tell that to Jarrett Johnson. If Johnson can so it, Morgan can
