Yeah, I was pretty shocked to see that. My only guess is that voters didn't want to have an Alabama player at #1 and #2.
Oh, I don't disagree at all. Still, regardless of what team it was, you still have a team that played considerably less games than everyone else competing for a national championship, which, in a physical sport like football, doesn't make much sense.
Sort of all over the place with a few exceptions. One of which was the BIG 10 opening the season with a minimum of 6 games required to play in their championship game. They only CHANGED that rule when it was realized that OSU wouldn't qualify. OSU should be sitting at home already and never played Clemson.
the 6 game rule never made sense, especially because they were starting late. it's a rona season. OSU deserves to be in the playoffs as denoted by them WHOOPING what was considered one of the best teams in the country be mad about some stupid corona rule that made no sense if you want, you just wanna complain about osu
Well it only happened with 1 team, so I can't prove my point that it isn't OSU but that I would have said this for any other team as well. With the point of it being a rona season, all the more reason to just put the teams that actually played the required amount of games into the CFP. I am currently complaining about how they changed the rules to accommodate 1 team, had they not, you would have been complaining about the rule itself. That happens all the time.
I don't think the argument is about the quality of OSU; I believe the argument is that one team has considerably less wear and tear than the others due to playing less games.
