Jarran Reed is player I really like for NT. Would shore up the run D. Dont think he makes it to 33.

No doubt Spence is a talent on the field, but how about his failed drug tests? Where do you draft him? He was almost out of control today in practice...

A month ago I thought he'd be available at the beginning of the fourth because of his drug issues, but everyone has been pushing him higher and higher over the last two weeks.

I think he's a better talent than Randy Gregory, as a comparison.

A lot of players to keep an eye on.

First, you have some players who are simply huge or exceptional NFL traits...
    DT Vernon Butler - 6'4", 325lbs, 34 1/8" arms
    DT Austin Johnson - 6'4, 323lbs
    CB Deiondre Hall - 6'1, 191lbs, 34 3/4" arms
    DE Carl Nassib 6'6 1/2", 273, 34 1/2" arms
    DT Adolphus Washington 6'3 1/2", 297lbs, 34" arms
    OG Vadal Alexander 6'5, 336lbs, 34 1/4" arms
    S Kevin Byard 5'11", 215lbs, 33 1/2" arms
    OT Le'Raven Clark 6'5, 312lbs, 36 1/4" arms
    OLB Jordan Jenkins 6'2 1/2", 257lbs, 11" hands, 34" arms
    WR Paul McRoberts 6'1", 202lbs, 9 3/4" hands, 33 1/2" arms
    DE Shawn Oakman 6'7 1/2", 269lbs, 10 1/2" hands, 35 1/8" arms
    DT/NT DJ Reader 6'1", 340lbs
    OT John Theus 6'6 1/2", 317, 10 1/2" hands, 34 1/8" arms
    DE Charles Tapper 6'2 3/4", 276lbs, 11 1/8" hands, 34" arms
    DE/LB Dadi Nicolas 6'3", 235lbs, 10 1/2" hands, 35 1/4" arms
    WR Charone Peake 6'2", 208lbs, 8 1/2" hands, 34 1/8" arms

Second, you have awesome college players the pros don't know what to do with due to size limitations...
    DE Eric Striker 5'11", 228lbs, 10" hands, 31" arms
    LB Tyler Matakevich 6', 233lbs, <31" arms
    LB Kentrell Brothers, 6', 250lbs, 30 3/4" arms
    RB Kenyan Drake 6', 210lbs, 8 3/4" hands, 30 3/4" arms
    OT Spencer Drango 6'6", 320lbs, 31 1/2" arms
    LB Jake Ganus 6'2, 230lbs, 29" arms
    RB Aaron Green 5'11, 200lbs, 8 1/2" hands, <30" arms
    ILB Deion Jones 6'1, 219lbs
    CB Jonathan Jones 5'8, 178lbs
    WR Kelvin Maye 5'8, 194lbs, 8 1/2" hands
    ILB Antonio Morrison 6'1, 232lbs, 30 3/8" arms
    OG Sebastian Tretola 6'4", 317lbs, 10" hands, 30" arms
    OG Cody Whitehair 6'3 3/4", 300lbs, 10" hands, 31 3/8" arms
    DE/LB Dadi Nicolas 6'3", 235lbs, 10 1/2" hands, 35 1/4" arms
    WR Charone Peake 6'2", 208lbs, 8 1/2" hands, 34 1/8" arms

Some of these players are very intriguing. You'll notice Dadi Nicolas and Charone Peake are listed in both categories. Nicolas, for example, is way too underweighted to play DE (or even OLB in a 3-4) but he has pretty big hands and awesome arm length at 35"+! He will no doubt be moved to OLB so we'll have to see how he does in space. Same thing goes for Striker who is short for any defensive position. How will he adjust to playing LB in space or can he be that disruptive pass rusher in 1v1 drills against top OT's?

Keep an eye on a guy like Whitehair who is one of the highest rated player at OG and see if his short arms hurt him this week. Also keep an eye on Oakman and how he fares in 1v1 matchups this week. Would love to see if he could play OLB...

Some food for thought for those of you watching practices or the game on this weekend!

Agreed regarding the Gregory comparison but he actually got booted out of school and the conference and it's hard for people like us to gauge his recovery so it's hard to figure a round for him. Can't see him falling past round 2 and he's a guy NE would take a flier on at the end of round 1 (if they had that pick this year).

Some other things to keep in mind....

We want Carson Wetz to LIGHT IT UP and be flying up draft boards as competition with Goff for the first QB taken. Increases our chances dramatically of being able to trade down and get good value for the trade.

It KILLS me that the DL is so deep this year...yet another reason I didn't like the Blackson pick last year (not a knock on the player). We could have gotten a better OL (or another one) instead!

Keep an eye on the 1v1 OL/DL drills. We need good OL and we need more pass rush!!! Same with 1v1 WR/TE/RB v CB, LB, S battles. We could use a top notch CB and certainly S help and it wouldn't hurt if we got an ILB who could stay on the field 3 downs!

Keep an eye on those small school prospects you haven't seen or haven't seen much of. Chances are, if you have seen them, it wasn't against this level of competition.

BTW, thought this article was interesting.Four GMs better than one for Falcons? - CBSSports.com

Dmitroff added Pioli to his GM staff previously and now he'd added 2 more (including our favorite...Ruston Webster). Give the article a quick read. I found it ironic that they added 2 more GM's to help Dimitroff....but I read what they said about Webster as kind of a....you like that player? Good, take him off our draft board!

I don't think Nassib is a fit for the Titans, but I love his story and his production last year.
