titantrusince82 I'm down with the Titans for better or worse

If you voted no, you are a glass half empty individual. It's May and you don't have faith in your team after having the greatest FA period since they moved to Nashville and a great draft.

I never know what to think. Never make predictions. For all I know we are a 2-14 team.

I will just throw an optimistic post with the off-season we had that if it pays off.

    10-6 Wild Card birth
Be a tie breaker with the colts for second in the division.

Like I said in an earlier post, that's the attitude I have in the back of my mind.

I keep thinking we'll get to 10-6, but my heart is telling me no way. We've been down this road too many times. 2001, 2009, 2010, 2012 were perfect examples of having somewhat high hopes but we suck miserably anyways.

2001: The season before we were. 13-3 (best team in the league) with a fluke loss to the Ravens in the playoffs. Then the 2001 season comes around and we are again the favorite not only to win our division, but the AFC favorite.

2009: Ditto. Then the 2009 season rolls around and we are returning 21/22 starters from 2008 plus added Nate Washington and drafted Kenny Britt. And we knew CJ was going to continue to help immensely. 0-6.

2010: We finished 2009 8-2, making a push for the playoffs. 2010 season comes around and we think "man VY really made some strides last season and is finally maturing." Then he gets hurt every other game and throws his pads into the stands and has a cat fight with Fisher. Worst thing about that year is that I actually thought we were an awesome team through the first half of the season. We were 5-2 and ranked #1 in scoring offense and #1 in scoring defense. Lol wtf? Then we go on another classic Fisher 6 game losing streak, finishing the season 1-8. Can't believe some people still wanted Fisher after that, but that's another discussion altogether.

2012: We barely miss the playoffs in 2011. Hasselbeck was solid. Locker looked great in limited play. Nate had a career year. Britt was playing at an elite level before he tore his ACL, but we expected him back early in 2012. We were ranked #8 in scoring defense. Then 2012 comes along and we flat out get murdered every time we play a good team.

So now 2013 comes around and I'm supposed to expect playoffs? No ****ing way!!!

I had no expectations in 2008, but that ended up being one hell of a ride.

He was either being wrong on purpose or talking about preseason and regular season only (no playoffs).

Though, I think you meant to put the W for the home game against the colts and vice versa.

I can dig your realistic view. I think it's almost as realistic to think we could go 10-6 though.

I see what you're doing though. Might as well not have high hopes. Usually if you have high hopes you get let down.

My brother is going to bet me 40 bucks that the Titans don't get 8 wins this season. I will happily take that bet.

Our record will end up being what ever it's suppose to be, minus 1 win.

So if youre counting on 10-6, go to 11-5 so we might win 10.

7-9 or 8-8 as of today, that can change
