I’m not disagreeing with that. This has been the only year though where he’s missed significant time.

 

The point is, you can’t blame Vrabel or the OC for Mariota not putting up the counting stats this year.

 

The biggest “rate stat” Mariota has is the RATE at which he gets injured.

 

I’d argue his rookie year had “significant” time. He missed more games than this year.
Adding half games/partial games/etc, he averages about 3 games a season. He just gets a free pass on playing like dookie this year because of tingles.

We can revisit this comparison next year.
