Didn't watch it. Just didn't really interest me much.

But we didn't "do him wrong" by keeping him out of the facility. We were getting rid of the guy- couldn't allow him to practice/risk injury.

Yeah the show was good I enjoyed the old footage. I am so torn on how to remember Steve "Air Mac9" - he was such a warrior, a huge family fan, soft-spoken, friend to everyone, did so much for the community and then ... all that speculation at the end of his life just has me torn on the guy. I think if that stuff never happened he would still be my undisputed favorite Titan of all-time - but now I have to say Eddie George is. Mixing football and life you try to not let emotions get to you and let him live his own life as long as he performs well on the football field which is how I think most "Fans" feel about it - but it's hard not to have mixed feelings about the guy after everything that happened.

Even still Mac-9 was a true warrior and shows the contrast between him and Jake Locker to a point. I am still a big Locker supporter and fan and still think he is our future and best chance at leading us to a "Super Bowl" but when you watch footage, highlights and reminise on Mac's career - just shows how tough the dude was and puts it all back in perspective.

One thing that was interesting to see in the show, was Mac's 1999 football camp showing a very young, Vince Young throwing the ball around at his camp and the mention that Cam Newton was there at the camp - jez he must have been a young kid back then. Kinda crazy when you think about it.

This show showed how much Steve did for our team, Nashville, young kids all across the country, and his friends and family. Like I said NFL Network would keep it classy and they did. Many people say what happen to him in the end has them torn or they have no respect for him now, I say to them the guy made a mistake. Like his mother said it was a mistake that cost him his life. We are human we all make mistakes and for all the good he did I don't let this one thing cloud my image of him. I grew up watching him and Eddie bring it every Sunday and it has shaped me into the passionate titans fan that I am today and for that I thank him.
    RIP Air McNair.

If people were able to remember Michael Jackson for his music, people can remember Steve for what he did on the field.

... Steve McNair would be more long the lines of Rick James than Michael Jackson. Just saying.

MJ left a long list of hits behind, and 3 decades of music. There's a lot more to remember and look fondly on. But yes, you have a point.

again, though: the issue is that we expected steve to be something he wasn't. We had 15 years to cope and mull over that MJ was a freaky weirdo, and the scandal had settled down, and was getting back into public favor when he died.

Mcnair was a 1 day thing where all the walls came down at once. If a kid had murdered MJ while he was abusing them or something, I'm sure his name and music would be hurt tremendously.

You know, since the mid 90's I always looked at Michael Jackson like he was one weird S.O.B, but I find myself always stopping on the stations playing his hits.

So I think you make a good point.

    MJ was King.

Steve was like... maybe a decent soldier in the kingdom.
