    For 2 years.
His 2000 campaign was his best year. Neal definitely helped that happen.

His 96', 97' and 98' years were among his best and Neal wasn't there. He actually outperformed his 99' (with Neal) in 2 of those years and the 3rd was 10 yards less.

Not really fair to knock George for having Neal, especially if he performed just as well without him and he only had him a short period of time.
Plus I don't think Ahmard hall was a slouch. No Lorenzo Neal, but pretty good.

You think he got 1K less carries because he was so soft?

Still can't quantify teammate. George was no doubt a leader of this team and recognized as a beast around the league, you can note this by the NFL's recognition to make a football life documentary on him. We won't see that about CJ2K.

Just because Eddie had a different mentality doesn't make him a better player. Cj was the reason we won games. Eddie had a few big ones but he wasn't a game changer like Johnson

    A) we didn't win much with CJ around. No one yearns for the 08-13 years again. Everyone wants the return of the 98'- 03/04' years again.

You're right, different mentality doesn't automatically make him better. The mentality he brought vs the crap CJ brought is what makes him better.
George was definitely a game changer. You need to go back to the archives.

Cj was better catching out the backfield and was better at making people miss. And I️ could ask you the same as far as proof. But at the end of the day these are all opinions

After his contract his oline was trash to say the least. He went to AZ and was leading the NFL before he got hurt.

I think I'll leave it at that then. I disagree CJ is better than E.G., don't think it's close, but I agree to disagree.

    Left to right
96' - Hopkins, Matthews, stepnoski, Donnelly, Eatman
97' - same sans Eatman for Runyan
98' - same sans Donnelly for Layman
99' - Hopkins, Matthews, long, Olsen, Runyan
00' - Fred Miller in for Runyan
01'- Hopkins, pillar, Matthews, Olsen, Miller
02' - Matthews gone for DiNapoli
03' - DiNapoli gone for Hartwig

08' - Roos, Amano, Mawae, Scott, Stewart
    09' - same
10' - Roos, Harris, Amano, Scott, Stewart
    11' - same
12' - Roos, Hutchinson, Velasco, Lutui/Harris (split 8 games each), Stewart
13' - Roos, Levitre, Schwenke, Warmack, Stewart

Overall, I'd say they were pretty even in OL. Both dealt with a couple players that were replaceable each year, but 3/5 were pretty darn good if not HoFers.
