How the refs didn't call that PI against D Williams is beyond me.

I thought Locker looked quite good. He's gonna make mistakes but I believe he's the right guy to be starting right now. The TD to Nate was gorgeous, the pass that Devin Mccourty should have picked was very ugly. I wasn't overly upset at Jake about the fumble, because the OL got beat badly there. Never gave Jake a chance.

I don't think CJ sucks, I think the OL sucks. We didn't address the OL this offseason because we didn't get a C. Sadly, I expect CJ to struggle all year. Velasco isn't the answer. Leroy Harris got beat bad play after play. I understand penalties happen but Hutchinson's was a real kick in the nuts.

I liked how Wright looked, he's going to be an explosive player for us. I would have liked a few more Cook sightings. I hope Nate Washington is okay, it would suck to lose him when Britt gets back next week. I want to see all these guys playing together.

The DL didn't get enough pressure. Wimbley was our best player there. Morgan was invisible, as was Klug. We need more from those 2 guys.

I didn't really see Witherspoon or Ayers do anything good all game. It's unfortunate Mccarthy got injured because he was involved in the game early.

Griffin was just awful, easily our worst player on the field. He missed tackle after tackle and blew assignment after assignment. He just didn't cover anyone. He can be a really awful player at times. I didn't have any problem with Verner or Mccourty, just not a fan of the soft zone Gray choose to play.

I don't get why Gray loves that zone so much, it's rarely worked for us. I saw Mouton a lot on the field today, I thought Tommie Campbell won the nickel job?

All in all, an absolute pathetic performance at home. Need to be better next week @ SD.

Piss poor coaching. Every single problem this team had last year is still a problem this year. That goes back to the coaching staff. Shape up or ship out.

Running game is my biggest disappointment. I thought that losing Amano and gaining Hutch would help, but that is not the case. It is not all on CJ, but he looked old today IMO. I am seeing people catch him from behind routinely (when he actually makes it past the line) at this point, which is troubling to me.

Defense was definitely disappointing to me. We did not seem to want to take chances, and basically let Brady nickle and dime us all day. The one or two times we did get more aggressive we put them back on their heals, but that is not going to be enough to win. Ridley is an elusive runner, so I would not call him a scrub by any means, but we were gashed by him all day.

I have been a fan of Griffin, but I finally have to agree that he looked horrible today...I wonder if he has cashed out now that he got his payday....

This was one game, and against the defending conference champs, so I am not panicking yet. However, we have a long way to go if we expect to be playing in January IMO.

Too busy worrying about the guy in the sweatshirt on New England's sideline.

Work on the run d and work on the run game and I think we will be alright. The thing is was that we were playing one of the best qb's in the game. Just wished the run d would have showed up today.

Re-implement Mike's (RIP) system with regards to the run game / blocking. Both CJ and the line looked like garbage today, and i just can't believe its because they all suck. If this persists then the whole lot is to blame - coordinator, line and RB.

1 - CJ is still, every f'in time, looking for the damn long run. Hit the hole hard a couple times as soon as u get the ball and just don't cut back, run it. They expect you to cut back, at any and every chance, so keep 'em guessing with a strait run, just maybe once in a while...maybe.

2 - As for the line, forget trying to get a push, just stop gettin pushed. That 'hook' hold by Hutch was a really bad play. I didn't expect that, even the slightest, from a player of his caliber - his strength is supposed to be run blocking. It was a designed QB run to the left, let the linemen go right and move to the next guy. That play really helped the Pats open it up on us and flip momentum back to them.

3 - Draft DE's with the 1st and/or 2nd pick for at least the next four years - till we land two legit stars (ala Ware, Allen, Freeny, JPP, etc...) who consistently seem to get pressure.

4 - Whats also troubling, I didn't see what I thought I would out of our young DT tandem in Casey and Klug. I mean we knew we were in trouble at DE but today our whole line struggled. And Morgan, I would say i expect more out of him, but I almost don't anymore.

I know its the first game and I'm over reacting, but I'm pissed - n I really hate the Pat's.

CJ is running like a girl, looks timid and slow. Locker looked promising, except for some throws that got away from him. Hoping Britt can make a difference when he comes back. CJ is a farce. The D is an embarrassment. Good times.

McCarthy wouldnt have allowed that to happen. We got a LOT weaker once he went down.
