Everyone in the FO wants Locker to show them enough to pull the trigger. They want Locker to start but they wont do it if he cant show he is ready. It's all up to Locker right now.

Based on their performance last season I'd go with Locker. He moved the chains better, showed he had poise, and has the ability to help out the run game as a dual threat QB. I think he takes more pressure off CJ and improves the defense as a whole.

People point to Locker's completion percentage last season, but most of his misses were do to timing and mis-communication more than accuracy. It would be expected with no off-season and limited work with the 1st team. I think Locker showed he had the poise and preparation to be the starter this year.

I find it funny how so many wanted him to be the starter after seeing him in limited time last year, but have altered their views do to the media and certain posters this season.

I want nothing more then Jake Locker to be our starting QB week 1 this season because that means that he was able to beat out Matt Hasselbeck for the starting job in training camp/ pre-season. However, if he cannot beat out Hasselbeck then he is not ready.

No, he needs to have it given to him. After all, he was a first round pick and the future. Regardless if he can beat an old washed up has been or not, in camp.

if it is a fair and true competition the there is no way MH holds off JL - IMO

I have no doubt that it will not be a fair and true competition. MH will have the job until he looks like he did the second half of 2011

Nothing's being given to Locker. He outplayed Hasselbeck in GAME TIME situations last year everytime he was given the opportunity.

I use Locker as my franchise QB in Madden, he threw for 59 TD's in my 2012 season. I give C.J. the ball no more than 14 times a game and he averages 120-yards a game.

I try to keep it realistic and air it out with Locker. I tend to think this would all come true if Locker was our starter day 1.

I doubt he sees 59 TD's, but 25-30 is a realistic number to hope for.

I know that TC hasn't even started yet but it seems to me like MH is the starter until he totally falls on his face or comes up gimpy again. His wealth of experience is highly overrated. Jake showed enough to warrant making him the starter going into camp and preseason. MH should be the one who needs to win the job if you ask me.

My boy CJTheBeast summed it up perfectly, Jake should be our guy, and GoT points out that Munch and Co. are probably still leaning toward MH as the starter and I agree.

Here's to hoping that Jake is far and away the better QB in TC, preseason and makes it impossible for our coaches to go with MH.
