Finnegan is afraid he can't perform well enough anymore to get a big deal after the season so he wants it now. No way I would give him a raise now. I make him show up and earn it with his play this year. If he won't accept that, he can just sit at home as far as I'm concerned. He's due over 3.7 million this season anyway.

Wow, I used to think the dick moves from him were confined to the football field. Finnegan isn't a shutdown corner, he's just a solid starter he's making what he should make. He hasn't really done anything noteworthy since 2008, he needs to shut up and play. And hopefully, go somewhere else next season. His tough guy act has gotten stale.

Kind of hard not to be cycnical about that now, huh? I have to question what his motives were during the offseason as well as after practice the other night. Sad.

Real leaders don't walk out of practice one week into camp. Why come to camp at all? Also, this scrimmage is a big deal to Munchak who is trying to get the fans/city back into '99-04' Titan pride days. To walkout right before the scrimmage, I can only imagine this will tick Munch off.

Plus, this just added major fuel to CJ's holdout...

    Buzz kill.

I would love to know what number this guy has in his head. Like you said he isn't a shut down corner and was burned more times than I care to remember last year. Not to mention that little scuffle with AJ last year. Maybe they'll give him more due to the lack of depth at the position. But I certainly hope not.

I'd be fine rolling with Verner and McCourty as the starters.

I'm not so sure it's more money he's wanting. He isn't getting any better these days, and I think he likely would take an extension even if it wasn't for more money. He's not confident in his performance this season imo. I'm not either.

Something else I just thought of, Munchak's team slogan this year was "One Team, One Goal" with a picture of the superbowl trophy, in attempt to unify this shakey lockeroom.

I can only imagine this is not going to set well with him.

Well if he wants an extension based on last season, then I hope he is willing to take less money not more.

What's he done the last 2 years to deserve an extension let alone the 3.7 he's going to make this year? Run his mouth a lot? Start fist fights? I really used to like this guy but he's really pushing it now. This team needs a leader on defense and it was looking like he was stepping up and taking on that role. Now it only looks like he had a hidden agenda. If I am Finny I look at my career and be thankful I make what I do and still have a job. Not pull this nonsense.
