I don't think people on the board are racist or hate VY cuz he's black. HEll this is the same fan base that cheered for the McNair/George tandem for nearly a decade i believe. I think it's just stereotypes. I have noticed stereotypes which is not the same as racism. It occurs everyday, you see a black dude at night in a hoody, theres no way he's up to any good. When people see CJ they assume he's a thug because of his teeth and grammar, even though he doesn't drink and was not in a gang.

I do think it's pretty crappy when people diss Vince calling him stupid and what-not. YOu don't like him on the field fine, but as a human being, i think he's great and doesn't deserve to be disrespected in non football talk. Whether the play book was dumbed down or not, he still ran them. He did run some kind of playbook for us. Meaning there is some brain there. Sometimes i feel like peoples hate go beyond football when it's not warranted. Vince did alot for the community much like McNair, but that is being disregarded because he didn't work out for us. And that's pretty sad because at the end of the day, he's still a man. I don't care if any one clicks the "It Sucks" button or tries to make a "wambulance" joke. Im not trying to defend him. Im through with this entire topic. This entire debate is getting out of hand and is starting to get downright embarrassing.

Don't mess with Texas, man. lol

Seriously though, much respect to your Memphis Grizzlies. Kicked my Spurs' butts this season and gave OKC a real fight. I couldn't help but to root for those guys...so much heart!

    Thx bro.

They gave it their all. Not bad for an eight seed minus Rudy.

I don't mess with Texas unless it is the Texans or Cowgirls.

If VY was some 5th round scrub, people wouldn't even waste their breath, but he was supposed to be the face of the franchise, and buried under his flaws, he had a lot of flashes of brilliance, and that's what frustrates people. It's like every time he's about to get to where fans want him to be, he takes a step backwards. And even though Fisher was a problem and played a big role in VY's demise, it was always one thing or another, whether it was quitting, injuries, or being late to team meetings. It eventually all adds up and most fans will agree the reward that he can bring at the end of the day just isn't worth all the setbacks anymore.

Since comparing VY to their ex gf is a common trend here, I'll go ahead and jump on the wagon. Being from Houston and going to UT, VY is the gf you grew up with, shared a lot of great moments, but somewhere down the road, she started to lose her way and you realize it's not going to work out. But even though you break up with her, you still care about her because of the good memories, and even though you've moved on, you're going to defend her if others bash her.

Even if you're not associated with TX, that doesn't change the fact VY isn't a thug, comes off as very humble for the most part, is very respectful in interviews, does good things for the community as TitansJonne mentioned, and with the exception of that very minor strip club incident (dude was asking for it), he stays outta trouble. Sure, he might not be able to read a defense like Manning, but sitting on bench for a year after he lost his job and coming back and playing like the way he did, he had to put in some work. People knocked on him for listening to his ipod on the sidelines when actually he was listening to the plays being called.

People see how many times I defend VY and might think my judgement is clouded when that's not the case. Recently, I had an argument here with SEC 330 regarding VY and honestly, I don't blame him for his frustrations and wanting nothing to do with VY, and also others who feel the same.

Oh, and 1 post closer to 2500!

    Nice post Geronimo

I think people were suprised to see me support Locker so fast. After the breakup I quickly made way for the new girl and will support both on their journeys.

the F in kFc does not stand for family, faith, friend, familiar or fantastic. That F ends in 'ing' and rhymes with duck. - and kFc is everything you described and more.

Since we are putting up the GF thing, I've likened the whole Vince thing to the child of a divorced couple.. Bud and Houston divorce when the Oilers/Titans move, then when the child becomes available, Bud immediately has to win custody of the child to piss off the Houston fans.. (Vince is from Houston and beloved by Houston fans b/c of Texas and the BCS/ National Championship).. IMO this was a major factor in his selection.. When the fight over the divorce and the heated feelings finally wore off, it became clear to everyone that Vince really wasn't the best fit for Tennessee..
