Since Jim left Tennessee, the Lions have obviously been the better franchise if you ask me. They now have Suh and Fairly at DT, which is utterly dominant. They have a franchise QB if he can stay healthy, one of the best receivers in the league, and a very good running back in Best. I love the pick by the Lions also, getting a second first round DT in 2 years. They have officially solved the Adrian Peterson riddle they face twice a year, and are geared up to be a very successful franchise in the future, after a few more holes are filled. The Lions are on the up, the Titans are on the down, and Jim Schwartz is getting the best of us. I'm glad for him.

They went 6-10 last year, just like we did. The year before that they went 2-14. I suppose the DID improve, technically, but let's not overplay their success with Schwartz.

They went from zero wins to 6 wins in two seasons under Schwartz. Lets not underplay their success. They also have allstars on both sides of the ball.

They won their last four games with two road wins in a row. 6-10 was an amazing season for them. Wouldn't be surprised if they go 8-8 or 9-7 this season. 2-14 is a lot better than 0-16 the year before.

That 4 game win streak was their best since 1999.

I'm happy for him. He's building a franchise correctly and if Stafford can stay healthy the lions are going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Suh is the only player on the team that has proven that he is a force to be reckoned with, and that's only been one year thus far. Fairley hasn't shown anything yet. Let's not assume they are one step away from the Super Bowl. He is doing a good job there, though.
