agreed damage was done, but need to set example that poaching at this time has consequences. And other than 3-4 RBs and Fisher/Heimsdfsdfger nobody in that locker room gives a crap. And I have a feeling that Pola was not going to turn CJ into a 3k yard back anyways - lol

This suit will have very little real impact. It was done for two reasons

    1. To fire up the base (A lot of UT fans are very happy about this. In fact the threads I've read are longer on the UT forums than any of the 3 Titans forums I'm a member of)

    2. To make other teams think twice before poaching a coach like this

This Kiffin guy sounds like a real weasel. I was willing to give him a pass for the Raiderdays, then he straight up bailed on UT like that, now this. What a little brat. Being a USC guy himself I wonder where Fish stands on this.

    1. I could not care less about pleasing UT fans- and I seriously doubt the Titans suits did this as a PR move.

    2. Let some other NFL team look like a "sour grapes chump" trying to sue a college or college coach. I mean really- isn't an ESPN headline regarding Fisher's dissatisfaction/ disapproval enough to dissuade? This comes across as some juvenile asinine turf battle.

I can't for the life of me figure out what the Titans' suits think they can gain other than a little coin. There appears to be some irrational thinking occurring here.

And besides, we have TC at the end of this week. Shouldn't we be trying to limit distractions rather than create them? And wouldn't a better PR response be to immediately come out in support of Pola's replacement and shift all attention and PR to that effort?

I do not condone Kiffin's actions as he showed a lack of courtesy and Fisher has every right to be pissed he fired the guy that coached CJ to over 2,000 yds just to bring Pola in, but this is all about PR maybe as a way to make themselves look strong to the other teams and the league during labor talks.

They should have just sued Pola for breach of contract and be done with it Fisher may have very well b****** ized his alumni status for this.
