Do you think there's an upside with having about 10 different players return punts and kicks in 1 season? The guys been consistent for his 3 years in the league. That's not flavor of the month. It's just people are learning about a great talent that's buried on a bad team.

And if you haven't learned the lesson we're not the greatest at drafting "talent", then I don't know what to tell you. There is no returner on Cribbs level in that draft. He's already broken the record for return TDs at 26. How is that peaking?

Trade for the guy and pay him. His extension would pay off more than Boldin and Marshall would in our system.

When your team is as terrible as the Browns, you tend to receive more kick offs than anyone else. What does that mean?

    Cribbs blockers get extra practice

Cribbs gets more attempts at running back returns.

All of this equals padded stats.

Also, are you taking into account the teams who turn back the burners a little bit on ST? Why should you risk injury on ST when you are up by 3 scores?

Stats are the biggest pile of Bullcrap in football. I'm probably the only person on this board who is unimpressed with CJ's 2000 yard mark. Why would you put 200,000 miles on a Ferrari? It's only going to work subpar to when you first got it, break down more, and be a more expensive to fill up the gas tank. Sure, your 200,000 mile ferrari might smoke a civic but would it smoke a brand new Lambo?

You're looking for ways to discredit Cribbs achievements for no reason. Cribbs has been the 2nd best return man in football over the last 5 years. He's worth looking at. Every once in a while he'll get overthrown by Hester or say Ginn, but for nearly his entire time as an NFL player he's been on top of the return game, and just lately is showing other ways his quickness can be used.

Run a sweep, reverse or WR screen and you just got yourself a minimal 5 yards. Any play that guarantees you 5 yards is a damn fine play. And the difference with him is that he can also throw. Hester can't throw, C.J. cant throw, Ginn cant throw, but Cribbs can. Ronnie Brown can throw, but can't field kicks, same for L.T.. Anyone in his class he beats. He's a very versatile player with tons of upside. If the Browns aren't interested in committing to him, he should be able to leave.

He could potentially end up with a passing TD, running TD, receiving, and returned TD all in one game, wow.

Earth to JC... Who is our coach again? You really think the Fish will allow that?

I'm not looking for ways to discredit him, I'm telling you how I see it. When your defense is constantly giving up TDs, you are going to have alot more opportunities to run back kicks. With more opportunity, you are going to run more td's back. Cribbs will not have the same success in Tennessee. You give CJ 400+ touches a season, he will get you alot of yards. You kick a bunch to Cribbs when your team is up by a bunch, you will probably be on your heels and he will burn you.

Yeah man, just take this one off. Seriously. Here's some fun facts for you to play with.

    Kickoff return attempts:
    Cleveland, 69
Tennessee, 69 (so much for extra practice)

    Yards:
    Cleveland, 1670
    Tennessee, 1417

    Average:
    Cleveland, 24.2
    Tennessee, 20.5

    TD's:
    Cleveland, 3
    Tennessee, 0

Feel free to crosscheck. That's just kick returns. The punt returns are eerily similar.

Stats are meaningless. What is your mailing address. I want to send you a postcard at the end of next season that says the following words: "Joshua Who?" Quit buying into NFL Network propaganda. They need someone on the Browns to talk about, or they would have nothing to say about the Browns. Dante Hall would be a good fit too, right? He put up some pretty numbers once upon a time. The only stat that means anything is W-L

You don't think Joshua Cribbs would help this team out? But you think Titus Young will :ha:

Cribbs would be perfect for us. I don't think it will happen, we have more important needs. But that guy is awesome, and we play field position football all the time.
He would be an extra win or two every year.

Erick you usually make good arguments, but you are dead wrong on this. You are asking..the TITANS to draft good? We've had very few draft picks work out in terms of playmakers and longevity..so remember who we are talking about here.

You aren't going to draft anyone with the immediate impact of a Cribbs this year or next, maybe longer. And yeah he can play offense, which means CJ can get breathers more often keeping him fresh. Our KO and PR have been terrible for a while, so what is the problem here? Everyone has been begging for better special teams, and this guy is probably top 3 and you're hating? Come on now.

    Are you serious?

    "Flavor of the month"?

Josh Cribbs has at least 1 kickoff return for TD in each of his seasons in the NFL. He holds the NFL record for kickoff return TD's with 8. Also has 2 career punt return touchdowns. He has singel-handedly won games for the Browns...the CLEVELAND BROWNS! This qualifies as a scrub to you?

All of what you're saying is ridiculous...Cribbs is the best returner in football, at least at kickoffs I know that for sure. I may give the edge to DeSean in the punt return category because of better numbers/more production, but I don't put him far ahead if much at all

But with all that said I think we should all be realistic about this and know that we pretty much aren't going to go after him anyways, it's just not what we do. But for you to think he wouldn't help us tremendously, you have to be delusional
