I still haven't labeled anyone in particular but I know the history of certain posters that have been very critical of VY. I agree that everyone has a right to have their own opinion, but I am also allowed to disagree with that opinion or I don't really have a right to my own opinion...do I? I jumped in when I read that some posters thought VY's TD pass was a poor throw.

You can absolutely have your own opinion!

The problem with most posters is they attack the poster and not the post.

I can tell you that I really think grass is blue and it be my opinion and you can attack my post and tell me it's really green. No harm no foul!

Or you can say that I'm an idiot for not having the same opinion as you.

    What I get tired of seeing is;

Person A: "VY had a really bad game last night"

Person B: "Oh you're such a hater, stop whining, it was only the 1st game of the season"

Person A: "You just need to get off of VY's jock strap"

I see way too much of that going on.

If you like VY or hate him, that's your right to that opinion. I can tell you why I agree or disagree, and that's about it. I CAN'T make you change your mind, so resorting to name calling and insults is just childish of us all. It shows more of a lack of maturity when we can't agree to disagree.

If I really want you to agree with my opinion, I will take the time to discuss why I think what you posted/think is incorrect and try my best to back it up with facts.

The game of football is hard to make judgments on at times. What I might consider to be a good/bad game by any one player, could be the opposite to you.

Nonetheless, there will always be posters that go over the edge supporting both ideas that he either sucks or is god-like...

    But as they say...

Don't feed the trolls and they will go away.

Ok. I agree completely. I guess you weren't really talking to me in your previous posts then since I haven't called anyone names, etc... It's all good now.

There might be a few fans that are truly rooting against VY. My guess is most fans want the guy to do well and in fact I wish he would turn into the second coming of Randall Cunningham. The facts are the guy sucks. Instead of progressing he is going backwards. There are even posts on here about this only being his 4th year. My goodness. YES IT IS HIS 4th YEAR AND HE STINKS WORSE NOW THAN WHEN HE WAS A GREEN ROOKIE.

Some of the ridiculous posts on here make me wonder if anyone has football sense at all. Collins threw on bad pass where he tried to force the ball and we have nit wit comments by fans saying "see, Collins makes bad throws". Bottom line is I want the team to win. That is what a true fan wants. Clinging to the nut sack of a player who sucks and WANTING that guy to play more and making excuses for him when he sucks is the worst thing a true fan could do. A fan like that is more concerned about their pet player than they are with the success of the team.

What I've seen so far is that Ramsey would make a better backup to Collins. He has better instincts than Young and he has better timing and accuracy on his passes. The best thing for the team IMO is to stop waiting for a miraculous transformation from Young where he turns from a ridiculous excuse for a QB into a HOF player and move on to what is best for the team. Besides, all the nut sackers can then follow VY over to the board of the Canadian football team Young plays for (until he is cut).

There is no point even posting something in Vince's defense or commenting on his play, you will get spammed by certain posters here saying he sucks, and other personal attacks. I'll just keep my comments to myself so as to avoid the mob mentality here.

Pre-season play is usually sloppy. However, to give us all the build up about things being different this year for Vince and then deliver pretty much the same results - against back-ups - has and will cause frustration among fans who thought Vince's play would always mirror The Rose Bowl.

If Vince doesn't play better in the next 4 pre-season games, then Ramsey will be the back-up. If Vince plays as well as Ramsey, Vince will be the back-up.

The thing I will be looking for is where is Vince when the defense is on the field? Talking things through with his coach or teammates or standing off to the side and disconnected?

I wish Vince the best, I really hope he improves, because that will be the Titans gain. However, his performance over the past 2 years has shown me nothing to be excited or even remotely pleased with, zero progression. His TD throw was nice, it showed that like all QBs who are in camps with any NFL team, he can throw the ball to the pylon from within the 10 yd line. C'mon, that isn't really that tough is it? I mean he knew exactly where he was going with that ball before the ball was even snapped. I put the odds are that he could make that throw 8 of 10 times. What disappoints me, was his INT, the bad passes to LenDale and CHenry from less than 5 yds out, the roll-outs that took too long for him to get rid of the ball to Hawkins, and general lack of ANYTHING out there. He didn't look like he was in the game, just disappointing.

Call me a hater if you want, but calling a spade a spade is not hating. You don't think he gets constructive criticism every time he's in the presence of coaches. Look, bottom line is this is the Preseason, but the preseason is the only PT he's gonna get, he's gotta come out much sharper and play much more efficiently. If he can't do it with lesser competition, than what makes me think he can do it against upper-echelon comp.

I want the best QB out on the field that gives the Titans the best opportunity to win. Vince Young isn't even the second best from what i've seen so far.

Vince's throwing has not improved. He still has a lazy arc and as someone said, the ball just float along and gives ample opportunity to be intercepted. He needs a lot of work . Ramsey looked very good. And has Ramsey played any more games than Vince in the last two years?

"I don't think it is mixed messages at all. It is what a QB should be able to do....
    - Read the defense
    - Go through ALL you progressions
    - Make a decision to throw it, throw it away, or run with it.
To do these things you have to study and work at it.
I believe that is what the staff has done. It just looks like he is still struggling."

And all this takes concentration, quick thinking and quick execution. Notice the word 'quick'. He has had innumerable practice sessions to work on this. Heck, he could probably work on this with a Wii game! But still he looks confused.

1st preseason game, yet it's still the same old Vince Young. Has no clue what he's doing. Its sad, I want him to do good but time is running out.
