I think the Titans may bring in a vet just before camp who hopes to get into a pre-season game and turn a head. Or, they can bring in some undrafted guy they think can make the practice squad. My bet is that they snag someone's late cut for the practice squad.

One guy i would not sign is frye. When mike holmgren takes a look at you for a year and decides he's had enough that means something. Holmgren has coached montana, young, favre and hassellback and for a brief time brunell and warner so when he has a year to take a look at you and decides he has seen enough that says something.

If Vince Young can truly play we won't be looking to get a #3 quarterback at all. Back during McNair's tenure, we generally kept three, but I suspect that may have had something to do with McNair's injury history. I can remember a couple of years ago hearing that Fisher only wanted to keep two quarterbacks, so getting a third this season, speaks to a lack of confidence in Vince Young. I may be reading too deeply into that, but that's just how I read it.

If Young is shaky in the mini-camps, I think we may see the Titans bring in a vet just because if Collins were to go down, there's no way Fisher would want a rookie stepping in.

Some may disagree but I say Leftwich would be a good backup vet. He isn't very mobile but with our OL, I think he would be a great fit.

Other available QBs that could be had cheap.

Losman has a career 75.8 passing rating with some mobility. Maybe he is the best guy to go after.

Because there is a plethora these backup type guys plus leftwich and garcia it shouldn't be hard to sign one fairly cheap so why not? That's how we got collins remember at the last minute. We have the cap room for at least a one year deal.

I think eventually we will get one of these guys but most likely after the draft when the price goes down.

But they all will be looking to be a #2.

If the Titans feel Young can handle those #2 duties, then bring in a young kid that can be on the practice squad this season and has a shot to compete for the #2 at some point.

Signing a #3 doesn't have to say anything about Young... during camp/preseason when you are carrying 75-80 players it's a numbers issue. Someone has to take those practice reps, and you don't want your starting QB wasting his time/arm on guys that aren't going to make it past the first round of cuts.

WHO they sign will say what they think about Young. A low draft pick that might develop on our practice squad would be a totally different statement than signing a guy like Leftwich. One means Young will still have his shot, the other means the Titans have moved on.

I'm sure it's been posted somewhere on here but Fisher has stated they will carry 3 QB's at least into camp. So it doesn't really matter what you think, they want three QB's.

That being said, if I had to choose between the 3 I would choose Boller, forget Leftwich.
