We have too much invested in Henry to keep him as a third back for too long. That alone decreases the odds of us bringing in a julius jones or an alexander long term. We could have done a short contract, but we're not going to tie up money in someone else long term to give up on White/Henry yet.

 

What was Henry's contract?

 

shaun alexander should of never got that much money he got in seattle in the first place. when theyre o-line got broken up he lost all his "skills".....

 

We'll have to once again draft an RB. Better be someone who could actually start in college though.

 

Jonathan Stweart might drop to the second round because he needs big toe surgery which will sideline him for 4 to 6 months

 

although I am impressed with Stewart's athletic ability, I want our first rd pick to be able to contribute right away. Just like Grif, play some teams, some situational packages and compete for more playing time. So I would have to pass on Stewart if he's not healthy. I would like to see the team draft someone also. It fits the "Plan". It's cheaper than signing a FA, and this year there are a lot of good backs in the draft.

 

I think that Ray Rice from rutgers will be a nice addition in the 2nd round and lets face it man we don't know how much we can rely on Lendale White with his weight issues and injury problems. Chris Henry is a huge project and is looking sure shot 2nd round bust, so I say lets just take the hit now a draft a running back that we can build around and it's cheaper to draft a running back than to sign a free agent.

 

Mike Hart Round 2. One of the best backs in the country, and might fall to a late round 2 pick.
